Elite Athlete Exam (EAE)
The Elite Athlete Exam is a non-injury exam that can identify possible risk factors for injury and performance inhibitors.
Many repetitive injuries, “growing pain” syndromes and performance problems can be prevented by correcting biomechanical flaws. This exam is designed for the serious athlete. Young athletes and Active Adults that are serious about their sport, need this
exam.
Detailed History
30 minutes with the doctor detailing your injury history, sports involved, goals and upcoming events.
Muscle and Joint Balance Analysis
Evaluation of muscles and joints can detect an imbalance that can be creating stress and strain on other areas as well as
preventing peak performance due to faulty biomechanics
Computerized Foot Scan
The feet are the body’s connection to the ground. A problem or imbalance in the feet can
create havoc in the knees, hips, pelvis and lower back. Dr. Phillips will evaluate your pressure points and determine if you have any detectible dysfunctions,
Computerized Whole Body Posture Analysis
Dr. Phillips will take several digital pictures of you in a standing posture. He will mark certain points of your body that
he will use as reference points. Your picture will then be entered into a computer and a posture number will be determined. The posture number will signify abnormal function and stress due to posture.
Running Gait Analysis
Every month, Dr. Phillips has a scheduled Gait Analysis night. He invites a selected group of patients to a local gym for
evaluation. He will film you while you run, jog or walk on a treadmill. With the help of a state of the art computer called the Vcoach (VCoach.net), he can evaluate your gait frame by frame. Gait problems can cause overuse injuries and decreased
performance.
